Our intensive residential treatment facilities in Torrington and Waterbury, Connecticut offer support for individuals affected by substance use disorders as well as co-occurring behavioral health conditions. Both facilities are staffed with full-time, onsite highly credentialed staff who are dedicated to the recovery and continued wellness of all residents.

Location: Torrington, CT

For: Men and women, age 18+

Occupancy: 20 

Length of stay: 7-28 days

Program highlights:

  • Trauma-informed and gender-responsive care and counseling
  • Individual counseling 
  • Medication-assisted treatment, including Naltrexone, Buprenorphine, and Vivitrol
  • Psychiatric evaluation
  • Medication management
  • Family sessions & visitation
  • Therapeutic and psycho-educational groups, and alternative therapies, including:
    • Anger Management
    • Preventing relapse
    • Auricular Acupuncture
    • Biology of addiction
    • 12-step with an emphasis on internalizing the first step
    • Living sober
    • Drum circle
  • Movement and mindfulness
    • Yoga
    • Adventure-based counseling

Hanson House

An intimate and compassionate residential treatment program designed specifically to meet the unique needs of women in active recovery.

Location: Torrington, CT

For: Women only, age 18+

Occupancy: 

Average stay: 4 months

Program highlights:

  • 24/7 staff
  • Special focus on the central role that relationships with children, intimate partners and others play in recovery
  • 20 hours of clinical support per week
  • Child-friendly space for regular family visits to support mothers seeking reunification with their children
  • Trauma-informed and gender-responsive care and treatment 
  • Medication management 
  • Psychiatric evaluation
